Fixed Time Trades Brokers with 30 Second Trading

Fixed time (binary options) trades have a pre-set time frame, by definition. That is some event needs to occur at or by a certain time for a trade to be successful and payout. Time frames can be long or short. Some brokers offer time frames which are very short, that is 30 seconds or even less. Binary options carry a very high risk of loss and trading on very short time frames can amplify this risk. These short time frames may only be available for some trade type or markets. The brokers in the table either let the trader set a 30 second time frame or have 30 seconds as the final point at which the trader can enter the trade.

Binary options trading is speculative and high risk and involves the risk of losing your entire investment. You should only trade money you can afford to lose entirely.

Is it possible to analyse the market on a very short time frame ?

All market analysis is speculative. That is, it can be proved wrong by market events. In short term time frames, volatile random movements may occur which can make any kind of analysis problematic. Though this is also the case with any time frame, short term time frames can be particularly prone to volatility.

All these brokers offer charting tools to help analyse markets, including technical indicators. The trader may wish to consider using a chart for very short term trading, for example with a line chart and look for indications of or changes in momentum for the current direction of the markets being traded (if there is one). However as noted fluctuations can alter what seems like momentum in a particular direction.

Short term trading tends to be offered for Up/Down (which can be called different names at different brokers). In Up/Down, the trader is asked to chose whether the value of the binary option will be higher or lower at the end of the trade than its value at the start of the trade. Thus in a short term trade the trader is speculating that the market will continue to move or move in the chosen direction by the end of the trade (i.e. 30 seconds). This is why trading on momentum and trying to see what the momentum is on a chart can be a way to approach very short term trades.

RSI is also one indicator which may be helpful in these cases, as it can signal overbought or oversold market conditions, even on short term time frames, so it can provide an indication that direction may change. Indicators cannot be relied upon, but they may provide a way to trade without relying on guesses.

The underlying markets can include markets such as Forex pairs, and these are subject to a wide range of factors which can affect the way they move. Thus even short term momentum and direction can change. However in general it is better to analyse a market before choosing a direction, and even if the analysis is wrong, at least the trader had a basis for making a trade and can maybe learn more about the way the markets they are trading behave.

Synthetic Indices provide a way to select market conditions for a trade, including less and more volatility (e.g. Volatilty Indices). Synthetic Indices are not based on real markets, but are generated by algorithms and may be traded 24/7.

The trader can set 30 seconds as the duration for these trade types with Synthetic Indices on the user friendly DTrader platform (which also offers Multipliers)
Description

Deriv offers two platform which provide fixed time trades which can be set for 30 seconds (or less) duration. These are DTrader and SmartTrader. DTrader aims to be a more intuitive way to trade similar markets to SmartTrader. DTrader also offers Multipliers.

To give an example, 30 second trading on the Rise/Fall trade time is available for Synthetic Indices. Synthetic Indices are simulated markets which can be traded 24/7 (i.e. including when other markets are closed), they are not based on real markets. When trading Synthetic Indices, the trader can choose the level of volatility for the simulated markets.

The trader sets a duration in ticks for Rise/Fall as well as seconds and longer. The time of a tick can vary, but the shortest time is 1 second, thus the minimum trade time for 30 ticks is 30 seconds. However the trade can actually go shorter than this time frame, down to 1 tick for Synthetic Indices. For this format, the trader can actually set 30 seconds (or lower) from the platform as the trade duration.

The trader may switch from demo to real on the SmartTrader or DTrader platforms, thus testing out what trading on various short term time frames is like without risking real money. This broker has a very low minimum deposit ($5) and lets the trader trade with very small trade sizes (down to $0.35 for Synthetic Indices). The chart can be set with various price types, including Line and Candlestick and technical indicators can be applied. The maximum payout rate for Rise/Fall can exceed 100% for successful trades. The trader can trade with longer time frames and trade with other trade types.
